{"id":6409,"date":"2023-08-01T18:40:53","date_gmt":"2023-08-01T17:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.megadancers.com\/?p=6409"},"modified":"2024-01-26T19:23:05","modified_gmt":"2024-01-26T19:23:05","slug":"santa-cruz-capital-europea-baile-latino-canarias-salsa-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.megadancers.com\/en\/santa-cruz-capital-europea-baile-latino-canarias-salsa-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Santa Cruz de Tenerife will become the European capital of Latin dance with the 20th edition of the Canarias Salsa Open."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>* This international event will take place between the 1st and 3rd of September in the capital of Tenerife together with the celebration of the first edition of Mega Dancers European Salsa League, and in which you can enjoy an intense agenda of parallel activities including workshops, social dancing, Beach Party and competitions for couples and soloists.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Next September, Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host one of the must-attend international events in the world of Latin dance competition with a new edition of the Canarias Salsa Open, whose organisation is the benchmark in this discipline of great technical demand, acrobatics and passion for dance at its best.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, between 1 and 3 September 2023, the capital of Tenerife will once again relive one of the biggest events dedicated to salsa, where residents of the Islands can participate in the categories of couples and soloists, whose registrations are open on the web site <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salsaopencanarias.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">salsaopencanarias.com<\/a> since last June.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to trophies, diplomas and certificates, this year's winners will have a guaranteed place in the final of the Megadancers European Salsa League championship, which will also be held in the capital of Tenerife during this event, which was created precisely to mark the 20th anniversary of the Canarias Salsa Open.<\/p>\n<p>This is an initiative on which the organisers have been working prior to the pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and which, from now on, will continue its trajectory jointly with the participation and contact of hundreds of academies and teachers from European countries.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, both events will be held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which will become the European dance capital, while a full programme of parallel activities will take place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competitions and locations: Beach Party and workshops<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this sense, the events hall La Cascada in the capital of Tenerife will host the two competitions on Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd, as well as the 'Baile Social', which will take place on Saturday 2nd at the same venue.<\/p>\n<p>Another of the most successful parallel activities, the Pool Party, has been reconverted into a large Beach Party to be held in the vicinity of the Cucumpr\u00e1 kiosk on the beach of Las Teresitas, also in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.<\/p>\n<p>Of special relevance in this edition are the workshops to be offered by the champions of Got Talent All Stars 2023, Steffany &amp; Yeeremy, and the Free Steps workshop to be given by Silvio Gonz\u00e1lez, director of the World Salsa Open and Megadancers European Salsa League, both at the Studio 54 Dance academy, located in the Parque Mar\u00edtimo in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.<\/p>\n<p>This edition promises to be one of the most competitive due to the high level demonstrated and acquired over the years, so that a fantastic international show is guaranteed, where Latin music and the technical excellence of the contestants will place the Canary Islands on the podium of the dance competitions, which can also be followed live via streaming from anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for the competitions and attendance at the different events can be purchased online at the website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.megadancers.com\/en\/entradas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">megadancers.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This event is possible thanks to the collaboration of the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Islas Canarias, Latitud de Vida.
